Halloween Projects

October 26, 2010

Halloween is one of my favorite themes to use for lesson ideas!  The spooky day inspires everyone to stretch his or her imagination and try new things.  It also gives me a chance to draw and stretch my imagination wings too.

Second grade created Halloween Portraits inspired by Pablo Picasso.  We learned the difference between a profile and a frontal portrait.  We used tempera paints and then cut the portraits out and pasted them on colored paper.

I already posted about Kindergarten’s Halloween Collages but it doesn’t hurt to show them again.  Plus they are so adorable, I was excited with you they turned out!

Fourth grade created spooky scenes on black paper with colored pencils.  I hung up a bunch of my own drawings and other examples of Halloween art and asked them to create a spooky feeling picture.
