Kindergarten Kandinsky Circles

December 17, 2009

In Kindergarten we examined the artwork created by Vassily Kandinsky.  Kandinsky was very interested in music and color.  He also enjoyed working with color relationships.  We used Kandinsky’s painting, Squares with Concentric Circles , as our inspiration.  Each student was asked to trace circles and then cut them out.  By the end, each circle had smaller circles placed on top.  It was a fun process and really helped reinforce our cutting and gluing skills!
